12:54 am [2005online]	Oh thank Christ for this community! I think I'm an old(er) man obsessive. I was discussing with my friends the other day the type of people I'm attracted to and realised that they are mainly men aged 33,34,51,52 - a bit worrying, considering I'm 15... Ah well! In the summer, I was reading one of my cousin's crappy teen girl magazines and saw this in the problems page which intrigued me... "Old Problem I'm 14 but I always get crushes on older men, like the guy who plays the prime minister in Little Britain. I think it's their personalities I fancy and not just their looks. I feel disgusted by the men I like and am too embarrassed to let anyone see my bedroom because it's covered in pensioners! Why do I fancy older men? Is it just a phase I'm going through? Lucie, 14, West Sussex" and the reply was... "Don't worry, Lucie, girls often have a type of celebrity they fancy: short, tall, dark, etc, and who knows why? Maybe older men represent something that's missing from your life or that you crave - stability or wisdom perhaps. Try not to dwell on it, as chances are, your tastes will change as you spend more time with guys your own age..." So there's hope for us all! Lol, maybe I won't marry David Walliams afterall :P Only joking! Current Mood: amused

12:31 pm [spiderwebsakm]	HEAT magazine Hey galz,  I'm just reading HEAT magazine at the moment and there's a part where people talk about their unlikely crushes. Now, I know that it is pretty blooming obvious to us why we love ASH, but I think to most people, he would seem like a weird choice when you have your Brad Pitts and Orlando Blooms (yawn!)...   Anyhoo, they are asking people to send in e-mails, saying who your unlikely crushes are - I just did and here it is:   I seriously fancy Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from 'Buffy The Vampire Slayer). I've always been attracted to older guys and Anthony is in a league of his own. His soft, deep voice; his gorgeous grey eyes and his razor cheekbones, all on a 6ft 1 frame makes me weak at the knees. When Giles turns into his raunchy alter ego in one episode of Buffy, I like what I see under those glasses and tweed jacket! Phwoar! Adele Mellish, 18, Worksop, Nottinghamshire.   Maybe if we send in enough e-mails (only one each, mind) about how much we love ASH, we'll get a glossy colour piccy of him in HEAT! Okay, okay - NOT the new layout and icons that I promised (although you can rest assured that they are finally in production now), but I thought you peeps that read me journal may be interested in seeing some of the graphics that I have made recently - my style's changed a lot. There are quite a few things that will be of interest to ASH fans since I have been blending him so much - he is so cool to blend and I'm always pleased with the results. Plus, when I have to stare at his gorgeous face for hours on end to complete the graphics, how can I complain? ^_^ Please, as always, feel free to use any of the graphics that you see in this post or in this journal - but, please, don't say that you have made them 'cause a lot of work and lurve has gone into them all. ^_^ Hope you enjoy the blends!!! ^_^ ^ Okay, here is my favourite piccy of ASH for you guys, first of all, 'cause I'mma post this in ASH Daily as well and I kinda got told off the other day for not putting an ASH pic in my post, so...there he is... ^_^ P.S: The blends that I have made are quite big and people with 56K modems or less may find them a bit of a pain to load up, so I'll post them in four seperate posts, each with an LJ-cut.^_^ ( >>CLICKY FOR MORE ASHY GOODNESS AND GRAPHICY NUTRITION<< ) I'll post the rest of the graphics up tomorrow.^_^

9:39 pm [whoser88]	I went to the place they make ASHs! Yeah, so I was in England for a while, and I even went to Bath -- ASH lives there! My friends and I looked around for ASH and Otto (his horse), but alas, we could not find him. Oh well. Bath is a very pretty city, and with that visit I reaffirmed my belief that it was a mistake for me to be born American. Sigh, why couldn't I have been British? You guys have all the hot guys and the cool accents. All we have is hicks and um, McDonalds. That just makes me depressed. Still going to meet ______ in August (and yes, still not saying his name for fear of jinxing)!!!!!!! What's up with everyone - any interesting ASH-related discussions you guys want to have? 11:58 am [spiderwebsakm]	Finally - a worthwhile update from me!!! I'm actually not too pleased with how these icons have turned out if I'm really honest...I just don't seem to be that good at graphics at the moment - I don't know why, but hey, I promised icons, so I will give icons, no matter how crap they are! ^-^ Also, I did say that I was going to post up an ASH blend that I made a few days ago, but it was only after I had put my icons onto disk from my laptop and was uploading them to Photobucket that I realised that I had forgotten to write it to disk as well! o~o D'oh! Anyway, the list of icons is as follows: 3 Gwen Stefani icons 3 ASH icons TEASER 1.    2. ( click here for the rest of the icons ) See? I said that they were the ultimate in crappiness! ^-^ The only one that I am mildly satisfied with is the third ASH icon that I've posted...I just love that picture, so I had to make an icon out of it. ^-^ I will try and post some more icons by next Wednesday and with the next icons update to my journal, I'll post that ASH blend that I forgot to upload today! ^-^

9:44 pm [whoser88]	I really need to contribute to my own community Yeah, yeah, I feel guilty. I realized I was talking about ASH a lot in my own personal lj, and it suddenly occured to me that perhaps I should use the community I created for that specific topic. Smart girl, aren't I? Anyway, I've recently been thinking about ASH a lot. I suppose it's because I've been thinking about the convention, and I just can't believe that I'm going to actually meet him. I have tons of mental images of Di, Laura (my two Buffy compadres) and I just standing around in the hallway, with me facing them looking towards the rest of the hall, and suddenly I see him, and just faint. Just fall down, passed out cold. The sad thing is it'll probably happen. Either that or Laura and Di will have to catch me as I lose all feeling below the waist. Prediction of my brief conversation with him during the photo: Me: Garghblah gah? ::drools:: ASH: Uh, yeah. Can we get on with this? Me: Blargh ga goo! ASH: NEXT! Sigh. But for now I have my daydreams where I'm incredibly eloquent and the man decides that he needs to get to know me more, and tells me to meet him with my friends at the bar later that night. You know, for soda and chess. Riiight. Anyway, I'm really happy that people have joined, so please update and let's talk about ASH. Here, I'll start: A quick poll (which I started in ash_daily) Do you prefer ASH's hair longer (a la S5 of BtVS) or shorter (a la end S6 or Spooks)? I like the shorter version, but I definitely wouldn't be against touching his hair when it's long - it looks so soft! Current Mood: I'm desperate :)
